what is better. Standard 18rgeu with turbo reahing around 200hp or a non turbo 18rgeu worked to about 200hp. which would go better. what are the benifits of each. what is needed to make a 200hp non turbo 18rgeu.

The 200hp turbo engine will be better by miles in terms of overall performance, drivability, fuel economy and longevity. A 200hp NA 18R-G will cost a metric shiteload to build.

200hp (or 150rwkw) on an N/A 18R-GEU is not easy to achive and have a drivable car. My 18R-GEU has had a fair amount of work done (cams, pistons, balance, head polish etc) but I reckon It's only putting out about 80-90rwkw. I'd like to put an aftermarket computer on it and get a dyno result (just so I know) but I'm not putting more money into that engine. I'm saving for a 1G! Better Bang for Buck. and prolly easier than an 18R-GEU turbo conversion.

so i should stick to the turbo plan then. Im about to start building it so wanna know first. I always thought that a non turbo engine with the same horsepower would make more torque and go harder.
