Hi, anyone get any idea if the RX-7 FC3S front brake rotor and caliper will fit in the AE86? Do I just need the rotor & caliper? Anything I will need to fit those in? What modification do I need?? Do I need the FC3S struts as well?? And one more question, will a Tom's 13"x5.5" wheel be fit with the FC3S brake??If not, how big do I need? 14"? 15"? Thanks for any help.

the answer is yes!!! anything can be made to fit anything. the mazda calipers are nice as they are very large and not all the heavy. as for the rotors, i'd say no as they are a hub type disc and the rotors on the AE86 are hat type. i'd almost guarantee that the S4/S5 RX7 rotors will not fit the AE86 stubs, so forget those discs.
if you plan to use such calipers then whatever you do will have to do some form of custom work, no matter what. what i suggest is contact IDB automotive in Richmond Melbourne as they have a kit that includes the exact capliers you suggest using. they will be able to give you some information hopefully, otherwise email me and i'll attempt to describe in more detail what i have found out from my own research on brake conversions.

The pic looks nice. I am wondering how much you spent to get those brake fit in? What mods did you need? And where did you get help?? And how is the brakeing like after it fits?? Thanks.

mmm nice calipers some q's: - did you buy as a kit, or did you fabricate the mountings yourself? - are you using the same strut? - did you retain the original sprinter offset/stud pattern?
thanks.
