Help! How do you install an indicator stalk?

Hi,
I am in the process of replacing the indicator stalk on my MA70, but when I pulled the existing stalk out, I dropped it, and everything fell apart  . In particular there is a spring and a ball bearing which have me a little confused  .
Can Anyone help me?
