Thats a very clean 180000km car.

I would buy it but i just brought a grande with 120000kms for 5500.

Good luck with the sale, its not easy to find cressys as clean as this.

Dude, are you sure its 1990? It looks like an '89 model to me. Confused I may be wrong.

Also, nice car... but a kind word about the price, its a little high.

Its defintely a 1990 Model, I've just checked the plate in the engine bay, 06/90.

Thanks for the advice with the price. The price is definetly negotiable, I based my price on what I'd seen others advterised at.

Cheers,

Simon

To my knowledge the 89 and 91 are quite different but only in the sense of numerous detailed changes.

'89 model - coloured velour.
'91 model - all grey regardless of body colour.

'89 model - chrome thingies on front quarter panels.
'91 model - not there.

'89 model - front indicators are part of the headlight assembly.
'91 model - they are on the quarter panel behind the wheel.

'89 model - bumpers have a lower lip.
'91 model - all one mould, ie: no seperate lip.

'89 model - chrome door handles.
'91 model - colour coded handles.

'89 model - Old school Cressida/Crown badging and old style grille.
'91 model - New oval Toyota badging and newer different grille.

Different mags, different surround for number plate, different blah blah blah...

Same chassis and overall body but they have a lot of differences that add up if you count them all. Smile

PS: Oh yeah, sorry about calling it an '89 model incorrectly... My appologies. I thought that the '90 model looked the same as the '91. Confused Maybe it was just the very late '90 models.

I stated the comparisons between '89 and '91 because I don't know what month in '90 they switched from series 1 to series 2. It must have been late in the year... At least after June. Smile 1990 must have had both series 1 and series 2.

That is a beautiful car dude, very nice nick for the age. My housemates own an '86 cressida and it is a very comfortable car to drive. There's has a 5M-GE in it, whats the difference between the 5M-GE and the 7M-GE? Would $5,500 be too low for you? Just for interests sake of course

I think the 5M's displacement is 2.8L, the 7m's is 3.
Very nice car i like the interior's condition!
