I only got a glimps of this on a news update but i think tonite on Ch 10 at 10:30pm they are showing a segment on "Cracking Down on car hoons"
Should be an interesting, intelligent, well thought out, unbiased, realistic, non-wank, segment. No really im not joking.

I loved the clip of the red 200SX "driving dangerously" on what looks amazingly UNlike a public road! Seems like no matter what we do, cops are out for us.

yeah they showed the list on the notepad of defects.
i saw "inadequate windscreen wipers", if i ever got that id shove the windscreen wiper up his ass and say "is that adequate bitch !!"
nah i seriously would 
Dont the cops have anything better to do with taxpayers money ??

I thought it was windscreen washers inoperative. Either way, WHAT A LOAD OF WANK!! I remember the first day on my license i got pulled over. They sat there for 20 minutes walking around my car before finally deciding that one of my exhaust tips was too low to the ground. Took it to vicroads after having it raised a few mm's only to find that the front end was apparently too low (and man did that psycho woman have an attitude towards me and "hoons"). Raised that slightly then they decided that it was too low in the middle. Finally they decided it was perfectly fine when my old man took the car there.

Yeah I watched that... My mum taped it for me and I watched it when I got home from the meeting... I think it's still on tape so if it is, I'll keep it and give it to you aswell as the cruise footage... By the way Gary, ring me on 0405 223 484 to work out a time to do this crap... I found a blank tape at home and i'm gonna get my dad to put the footage on tape asap... Wow... They stole footage... I thought it was wierd anywau when it showed night footage and then flicked to the day footage of the 200 pulling helis... Nice helis anyway...

That is so wrong!!! :- The fact that they used footage from a professionally used video to make us car enthusiasts look bad. :- :- :-
Ben will call to organise and once i have it i may call the TV station and the producers of the real video to see if i can stir up some trouble.  Who knows might be able to get a public apology from the tv station. Now thatwould make it worthwhile.

Apparently this has already been reported to Mediawatch on the ABC.. Let's see how they handle it. I think the ABC is probably one channel that would definitely be more interested in showing the truth rather than just making up a good story

Sweet... I think that the ABC will show the truth... Ppl doing laps around Brighton having, as they said, a good time... I also think that with cameras present, ppl will do silly things... For instance, I was in Wollongong with a video camera and when ppl saw the camera they'd do burnouts and shit...

The NSW Police are just going for the easy targets. It amazes me that they can supply so many cops to defect a few noisy cars when NSW does not even have a dedicated armed robbery squad anymore. The difference between parking ticket inspectors and cops becomes more blurred every day. It seem that their man purpose is to rasie money in fines and infringements rather than traditional policing duties.
NSW rego plates should read "NSW THE POLICE STATE"

Well said Tanman, In so many ways that is so true.
But on the other side i have a few good friends in HWY Patrol and they say that most of of the coppers will only come down on you pretty hard if your smart or sarcastic with them.
