Is that on MA61 rims? I thought +8 would be sufficient offset. Where does it scrub? 195s are pretty narrow rubber for 7JJ.

hmmm how much is his car lowered ? Mine is lowered say 1.2 - 2 inches, so I am guessing it would definitely scrub then ....
not sure of the offset...

I have supra rims on my sprinter. Get 185/60/14 tyres and you wont scrub.

can u be more specific dood.... on what width tyres will I need to take the front inner guards ?
Hmm... 185's with no P/S will be bearable ... what about wider ?
Also... i don't think 195s with the supercharged engine will manage.. (98kw at wheels)

I think 185s is probably best for sprinters...
Infact, I think most stock rims have 185s (that I see anyways)..

ive had MA61 Supra mags on my Sprinter for the last 3 months roughly, and they have Hankook 195/65/14's on them and with 2 people it scrubbed a bit if i didnt push it too hard through corners, with 3-4 people it scrubbed hard no matter what.
i took out the inner guards at the front (quick 5 min job) and there was pretty much no more scrubbage at all.
ive recently put some Superlites with good Yokohama rubber on my Sprinter and it has not scrubbed once, which indicates that the MA61 wheels have an offset that must only be a touch different to that of wheels that are made to fit an AE86, cos the Superlites are only 1 inch bigger, and as i said havent scrubbed.
ive got a set of MA61 mags in good condition for sale if your interested Les!!  (shameless plug i know.)

Be careful when selecting tyres for the rims - to stay in legal water, you must not fit a tyre that is smaller than original fitment to the rims. The grey are here will be the fact that you have to decide which "original" tyre to follow, the original 185/70/13 sized tyre of the Sprinter, or the original Supra tyre that suits the mags. Personally, I wouldn't fit a tyre any smaller than 205 on a 7" rim, which means to keep the original Sprinter rolling diamter, you'd need to run 215/55/14's. If you were to use the 15x6" Saoarer rims, you'd be back to a 195/55/15.

CLG, i would think the latter argument...
however will anything less than 205 be SAFE on a 7" rim ?
i dont think koppas will really look at your rims and KNOW they are 7" just by looking at them.... and that 205 is the 'legal' tyre for that rim ...

No, they'll read the casting marks and tell you the 195's on the rims are too small!!!
Personally I wopuldn't put anything smaller than a 205 on a 7" rim, but I've seen it done all the time! Smallest I would put on would be 205/55/14's though.

185/55x14's on 7 inch Enkei's front (yoko a539 grips)
185/55x14's on 7.5 inch Watanabe's rear (grid 2 poo's)
imagine the fact that 55 profile tyres are shorter than 60's...then imagine that they have to be stretched the same distance of 7.5 inches....fat

a539s are great in the wet...
and 3's do in japan...
apparently all you can get here in 185/55x14 is the a539s...
i know you can get dunlop w10's, and grid 2 and 3 in japan tho
