Well my project AE92 GTZ arrives in a few weeks , My personal aim is for 300hp at the wheels ive noticed ben is running the GT30 on the AW11
Just wondering whether i should stick with the 450hp GT28 or go for the 500hp GT30
Just after comments / feedback

i have read that the 450hp GT28 is not a very good combination between the exhaust turbine and the compressor. THey said that it quite a laggy turbo and recommended the 500hp GT30 over it anytime.
So a naturally laggy turbo is not going to spool very well on a 1.6L. I would go the 500hp GT30.

Just out of personal expirience i would most likey not opt for the 500hp gt30, i have a 550hp version on my 1ggte powered celica and it is on the laggish side, even though the turbo you are after is a touch smaller u would have to still remember that the engine is a 1.6l. Therefore it would be safe to assume that on a 1.6 that particular turbo would be even more laggy than my setup, if you would like to be making full boost at 5000+ rpm by all means go for it, but i woulnt. if u are only chasing 300hp at the wheels i highly doubt you would need a 500hp roller. Also bear in mind that you can not get a gt30 garrett turbo with a integral wastegate, they are all external, however a gt28 you can. Just my thoughts from expirience had wiht my car.

You sure you even want the 450 hp GT28? The 'smaller' GT28 with the 0.64 exhaust housing will still flow more than enough for your 300hp at the wheels, but wont be as laggy. They're laggy enough on an RB20/SR20
But if you just want the screaming top end, then go for the GT30 It'll be nuts in a FWD car!
Is Ben really running a GT30? Has he changed from the previous setup? It would be a bitch to get a GT30 & external wastegate in the MR2 engine compartment.
