THe ügly"green subzero supra ran a 9.3 @ 149mph on the weekend. was done with nitrous and a single turbo. Made 780rwhp with an internally stock engine! Was on slicks also.
That is bloody awesome if you ask me!
Owner has plans to build a BIG hp engine after this one blows!!!

i find it hard to believe that the crank, pistons and rods are standard items. Nonethless, a good effort!

Why do you find it hard to believe? The Yanks have been doing it for years. Not that I find it hard to beleive you don't.
I am in now way inkahoots with Sub Zero, infact I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw a Supra.

wastegate: if you would like to PM me about why you don't trust them that would be good.
I was thinking about getting some work done there in the future as they seem to be pretty good at churning out some very quick cars.

We don't rave about turbo engines because we're ignorant. We argue because their more modern designs are actually on par with a lot of equipment available aftermarket for more antiquated 'power'plants.
That said, I believe that 9.3 on stock internals is probably starting to push the envelope somewhat, and that a lot of people who have approached these levels have no doubt suffered breakages. I would still contend that most of them are due to a poor tune though.
