Mouting 4AGE to engine Stand Wed, 07 April 2004 13:24 Go to next message
This afternooon ive just mounted my 4A to an engine stand which was previously used for an I6. So its quite big enough. But the problem is that its almost too big.
Ive had to take off the top two arms and mount directly to the plate, and then for the bottom ive half mounted the arms and its kind of balancing on the front bottom arm. So its bascially mounted on 3 bolts.

So im not entirely sure if this is stable enough or whether i should rerig it tomorrow.
The other question i want an answer to is how long the rear gearbox bolt on the 4A is. Because the front one is just long enough to mount off, but the rear one is nowhere to be found.

Should really rerig it. If you turn the engine ove it may swing away from the mount and bend the plate or arms. Has happened befor but that was only on two upper arms.
