Yankee Newbie with GA70 1g-gte Supra questions Wed, 07 April 2004 20:44 Go to next message
Hello everyone,
I am toying with the idea of swapping a 1g-gte in my 86.5 Supra NA. I don't need advice on the swap. I was just curious what kind of numbers you guys have put up with a 1g. My goal is to hit 300 rwhp. Is this possible? And if so with what mods? And how much can I expect to spend? Also, what problems have you come across?

Thanks.

Well if you have the big single don't u have crazy lag? When does it spool? What kind of fuel mods do you have?

fuel system consists of 13bt injectors 1/2 inch fuel lines and a bosh 600hp fuel pump, its all very much over done but ill never have too upgrade it again in the search for more power down the track.
everyone seems too think a big single creates crazy lag, it really all depends on what turbo you choose to run and how good the person is tuning your car Smile

yes you can pull 300 horses with a 1ggte,

but if you used a 1JZGTE you could do it with ease, and put less strain on the motor,

just a thought
