You need an early model like an RN27. The diff in this is 1370mm from face to face.

i've been here long enough not to ask annoying questions etc but its pretty hard to figure out which diff is suited for you when theres so much hilux/hiace diffs and ratios blah blah.. ive written down lots of info from this forum but still, its all too confusing.

The hilux diffs have 5x114.3 PCD and drum brakes. You can convert to disk brakes fairly easily. This has been talked about on here so dont bother asking.

how wide is the sprinter diff?
|
1410mm
which means if you use the RN27, your wheels will no longer fit properly........

Well if the sprinter is 1410mm you need a later model hilux diff. For example an RN41 is exactly 1410mm!

All 2WD Hiluxs come with 5x114.3 PCD and all 4WD's come with 6 studs.
There is a very wide range of ratios to suit what ever your needs are.

Tell me that center was a simple fit, i know where there is a 83 hiace diff just lying around, what axles, bearings did you use.
I saw your car at the sprinter cruise, couldnt keep my eyes of it.
Im guessing custom tail shaft?

So i need a 83 hiace diff and a hilux center.
Ill search for the width of these diffs, which hilux center, one from a rn41 or something made aroung the same time 1983.

As said above the later model hilux diffs are exactly the same width as the Sprinter diffs. Why would you want to do wider?

Im starting to like this idea better. just get the mounts relocated correct the tail shaft issue, run the thing standard till i can source fund to fit lsd and disc brakes.
