i bought ra23 ones for $20 each so i assume they would be about the same price. U just need basically the strut with stub axle thats it isnt it??? No brakes or inserts or anything.

Andy_H,
if your looking at doing the corona strut/hilux calliper/pugeot disk combointo your celica you only need the stut basically.

If your looking at doing a cheaper upgrade, using the corona brakes you should be looking for rt132 front struts (they have twin pot callipers as opposed to single pot sliding callipers that the xt130 strut have, but are otherwise the same)

If your doing something completely different excuse me for butting in.

tom

dont mean to sound dumb but the xt130 and the rt132 strut are the same yes???
if so then i guess either the xt130 and the rt132 would do me great.

xt130 have singlepot calipers and rt132 have twins if im not mistaken so they are both different. what exactly is this for anyway.

why would ya bother. The ones in the ra28 would basically be the same then. I think the whole point of the conversion is to use the 4 spot calipers.

I was under the impression that the xt130/rt142 discs were bigger at least thats what they look like when i did a quick measure up and checked the dimensions. Iam using the xt130 standard struts and they are more than adequate for street use, whats the engine that is in the 28? rc, rg, 1g?

Recomend you post a forum, wanted, info for good upgrade conversion for Brakes XT130 and see what you get.
Its always lousy to chase for ages and end up with something expensive, lots of hassles, shocking brake biase (easy to get).
If upgrading fronts a lot you'll probably have to go up a size in the Master Cyl also. Try and get everything to simply bolt on.

I have a set of XT130 struts with...
- height adjustable spring platforms
- 400lb king springs with companion springs
- adjustable Koni sport shocks
- Noltec camber adjustable strut tops
- 4 spot Hi-lux calipers
- brand new slotted Pug rotors
- used standard Pug rotors

Were built for my 1GGTE RA40 and spent some time in Phil's (TRACTION ISSUES) 1GGTE RA23.

Would consider reasonable offers, PM me.

Darren.

I've got a pair of RT132 struts here in Canberra with peugeot vented discs & widened twin spot calipers to suit (IDB package). No shocks or springs though.

nah i havnt been there but i rang them and asked about them, he reckons they havnt had anyin for awhile and dont have any struts but if they did you'd be looking at around $60/pair.

darren i am seriously considering your setup, it sounds pretty good.
