my pulley standard or not? Sun, 11 April 2004 06:09 Go to next message
i am suspecting my ze has bigger then standard pulley. i havent taken measurement of it yet but from lookin at the top of engine bay i can sort of c the idler pulley and crank pulley and the space between them is quite small like prolly 5mm gap. there wouldnt be much room for upgraded pulley unless an aftermarker idler pulley was used.

i had my car dynoed at 82kwrwd on 9psi which seems normal for a standard ze, maybe bit low due to old engine. but thing is i had a look and abv mod hasnt been done correctly. someone has just pulled the hose off abv and blocked it, and thats it. im goin to buy some t pieces and caps and do it properly and c if can feel ne performance gain. when i get money i'll get a boost guage to c what really goin on

can someone tell me how big the gap is between the pulleys on a standard engine? what people think bout this?

Freak it will be easier and more acurate for you to measure your crank pulley than people try to measure the gap between pullies.
if you are getting 9psi then you might have a 160mm (10psi) pulley....
