what is it? Mon, 12 April 2004 07:47 Go to next message
okay everyone out there this has bugged me for too long, what is the little electronic component that looks like its only plastic that is in the top of the air box of the ST184 celica's, it had nothing to do with air flow tho, these cars are MAP sensored, is it some sort of Oxygen sensor or temperature sensor? my mates one has its pod filter on it when he brought it and the 2 wires that go into the component are loose. so any ideas on what it is? ~writing on it is "denso k17"~

Just attach the sensore near the inlet of the pod filter. With out the sensor you will probably find that the engine will run rich.

ummm iwas just goin to drill a hole into an adapter to the pod filter, and insert it into that directly after the filter? is it worth the effort?

Yes that would be perfect. This is exactly what I am going to do. Just make sure that the sensor will never be able to right through and end up in the engine Confused
