Mk2 Supra - Transmissions

How hard is it to convert an auto Supra to a manual?
What parts would I need?
If I got the gearbox stuff from an RA65, could I use it all except for the bellhousing and clutch? Or should I just hunt down a full Mk2 Supra setup?

Yes, if you get all the RA6x stuff (transmission, crossmember, tailshaft, clutch pedal/hydraulics) it will all bolt into a Supra. Just add the M series bellhousing, flywheel and clutch and you're away.
Note that the RA6x will have the weaker W55/57 transmission... you should try to find a W58.

Yeah, some of the RA65's had W58's as well apparently, so I'll have a look.
I would prefer a W58 too for the 5th gear cos I do a lot of freeway driving.
Would it be better to just get a manual one in the first place?

Get a manual because you get everything, including the W58 gearbox and the price differential is not great. Remember you will need the UZ series bellhousing and associated driveline bits.
