Engine Bogging Allot

I have a rebuilt 3SGE and has been playing up when cold for a while now, if u put more than a little throttle, it boggs down for a seccond, then goes feels like it was way too rich, but i just had it tuned and its still there. any idea's?

Do normal tune-up things, then get the injectors cleaned.

dont know the engine, but does it have a cold air bypass valve? usually sits ontop of the thermostat, or some other water port. if its buggered, itll stay closed, and your engine will run rich when cold. will fix itself when it warms up.

I cant recall if the 3sge has TVIS (maybe yes?) but if it does then check that the butterflies staying closed below the open point, it could be that the vacume line has dropped off or that the plug is faulty which is common on the 4A

yea, it does have TVIS..... how can i tell if the butterflys are staying closed... without taking it off...
