There is a place in NZ that spcialises in 86 fibreglass parts (nearly the whole car). I don't remember the details but maybe try some of the NZ Toyota sites.

this must be for a serious track car huh?
fibreglass is fibres of glass, eiher chopped or woven. usually clear/white in colour.
carbon fibre is fibres of carbon, usually woven black in colour.
kevlar is fibres of kevlar, usually woven and yellow in colour.
they are all just reinforcing fibres in a resin or plastic matrix.
they have different properties w/r strength, fatigue, how much they can bend etc etc....
what properties are you after?
what to look for?? it's basically what can you afford... the higher the quality, the higher the cost, but a higher cost does not always indicate a better quality product.

calllum fi your able to fidn their website it would be most appreciated
stewart to tell you the truth ive virtually no knowlege in different fibres except their lightweight advantage over metalic products so if your able to aford the time to express the basic positives and negitives it would be most appreciated and probably make a good sticky for future reference

to be honest, i don't have the time..
basically, if you are looking for weight reduction only, use a few layers of light 'weight' glass, and be careful with how much resin you use. a fibreglass panel will not always be lighter than a steel panel!!!!
carbon and kevlar are usually lighter than steel (but not always) BUT are shiteloads stronger in some directions, and sometimes a lot stiffer. they are a structural material, and the weight savign comes from strength to weight ratio.
if this is for the road, i think you will find that non-steel panels are not legal... any car needing to survive crash tests, or with certain ADR's will NOT be legal with non-steel panels.
same for lexan windows...
it's a great idea, but check before you spend up big..
a single panel in glass might be a few hundred, in carbon/kevlar (done properly) a few thousand, but for a cheap shitty job to get the FULLY SIK look then it would be high hundreds at a guess...
and go on a diet too don't carry spare, half fill tank, don't carry friends etc etc
Cya, Stewart
oh yeah, if you want to find out more about glass, carbon, and kevlar, then use www.google.com heeeeaps of info around, particularly from manufacturers.
