WTB: decent daily driver, 5sp, efi, 4/5 door, air, ok looks, no bling - BRIS Thu, 15 April 2004 12:51 Go to next message
the subject says it all but WTH.. I'm after a daily driver so i'm not stuck when i break the RA40 turbo (again).

I'm looking for 4cyl, 5speed, EFI (or easily EFI'd), hatch-back preferred, but at least 4 door. Working aircon is a must.

I'm not looking for a blinged up, or part-finished project car. Just something that starts every morning and gets me & my partner to work but doesn't look like shit

I'd like to spend around 3-4K - but am open to suggestions. Being in BNE will help.

obviously, i would prefer to stick toyota Wink

i hate to hyjack the post but have you though of looking at an 83-84 SV11 camry. got all the things you require, cheap, can be had for well under $2500. i reccomend these cars as i have one as a daily driver, and i love it just about as much as my TA22 hobby car!!!

check out my camry if you are interested, got everything you need, in nice condition, cept air con but that is a bolt in job. you cant go past camry's for reliability. I agree with dorikin, an SV11 would do you nicely as well.

thanks daniel... i'll need some luck... it being Brisbane and all...

i've had a look at fiar amount of trash on the weekend - except for a well used '86 seca with 4AGE that had some get-up-and-go! - but was in need of aircon repairs, a decent degrease and probably new headgasket (gunk inside filler cap, rusty water not coolant) ;(

if someone wants pics of that one ($2600 Cannon Hill) pleez advise and i can email

... and missed another $2800 '86 4AGE powered SECA by about 2 hours on friday Crying or Very Sad

<rant>
... oh, and i just lurv it when car yards tell me (over phone) that it's an EFI model... but when i get there on a Sunday, via public t/port, it's not EFI, and in one case, not there at all... sure i can appreciate that they have to embellish the truth, but when i tell them i'm after a specific car and that i'm travelling by bus ... on a sunday... bastards...
</>

so... yes... camry has been added to list...

18RG ... why you little ba... Laughing

if ya limits $4000 you can have my supra for that.. but i won't be supplying RWC or rego.
you will have to arrange pickup or transport.
i'll write u a note though so you can drive it around until you get the things done.

SupraBOY: is that cruel or what ... taunting me like that with the car i had wanted to buy Laughing Cool

if this keeps, maybe she'll give in Smile

anyone have a reasonable (e.g. believable) explaination as to why a Supra should be considered a day-to-day runabout? Razz Laughing
