Just a useless piece of trivia that I shall record down here for future generations.

Got my diff and weighed it on the Aussie Post scales. 17.7kg including the cardboard box and tape that came wrapped around it.

I think it's a T312? T512? It's a 3.9:1 open centre...
Clint?

It would be interesting to compare this to other diffs; I'll try to remember to weigh my F diff when I pull it out of the MX23 axle. I once tried to pick up a Mk3 diff (still in cast iron carrier) and I nearly broke my back getting it off the floor... that's one heavy bitch!

When you've got a 17.7kg package in your boot, don't corner like you normally do...
Having that thing flying from one side of your car to the other does funny things to the balance of your car...
hehe

T312- T series (duh) 3.909, 2 pinion open centre

T512- Dunno if it exists, 3.736, 2 pinion open centre

if it IS 3.736, it should have 11 teeth on the pinion, 41 teeth on the crown gear. I'll buy the gears off you.

Yep, T312, enjoy it, and when you break that one, I've still got the 4.1 locker available!
