2TG Piston Identification Fri, 16 April 2004 05:09 Go to next message
Hey

How do I find out what compression ratios the pistons from my 2TG are (to see if they're worth throwing back in)?

Thanks

Nah, mate... It had a "B" and a "3" on the crown...

Also it has the part number "88262" and if my internet research abilities are upto scratch, they came in 8.4:1 and 9:1 variations.

I compared it to a mate's piston tonight (a 9.4 if memory serves) and given the crown difference I'd say it's a 8.4:1.

If anyone has a more definitive method to ID it I'd love to know for sure.
