bought jap 3SGE for $1250 w/ gear box. its a jap import, thought oh yeah bolt straight in. LMFAO, how wrong was i?. after changing the throttle body, exhaust manifold, starter and alternator (coz they just cut the wires instead of unpluging the clips), i swapped over the power steering pump (and broke the bottom plastic bit with 2 vacuum lines coming off it, if anyone has one PLEASE pm me),then came a.c pump. finally got the engine back in. started at 8AM, went home at 6.30. and i still have to put the c/v's, and radiator in, and connect some wires and some other little things, but damn, took me and the mechanic a day and a bit. o well. "they never just bolt straight in" -barky.

You have no idea!LOL.
I put a JDM 3sge into my st161(2se car) and nothing was the same.

Well its in now and let me tell you, it is a bat outof hell, it has much more power then the 2se motor.

I love my car, now all i need to do is paint 5lug conversion, intake, and extractors.

-Andy.

You can still get those little vacuum connectors from any genuine toyota parts dealer. Wreckers usually have tonnes of those things lying around, but again, alot of them are broken because when the engine is lying around the place with the power steering pump still connected they tend to 'rest' on that plastic vacuum hose junction.
