Just wanting to know how people have mounted their alternators on their rwd 4agze's. I would like some help on mounting mine. I'm putting it into a KE70 if that helps.

Oi, just took posession of new brembo 604 discs, for the brake upgrade. All shiney and new. Very Happy

i would like to point your attention to mmhere, mmhere and mmmhere..... Razz


**NB: there are actual links to pics there.

pay attentio to the use of the normal 4a-ge alternator (same as GZE) and running the wires across to where the voltage regulator is when you had the 4K installed.

I idenify the ignition, voltage sense and charge warning light wires from the KE70's body loom after you unplug and throw away the external voltage regulator (dont need since 4agze alt. has internal regulator)

connect those wires to the matching wires from the GZE alternator (part of the engine loom) and bobs ya mothers brother.

I only know about ae86s, but with a whiteline 24mm swaybar, my alternator is around 3-4mm clear (well at least most of the time). So I just live with it. Maybe the KE70 would be the same.

there is MASSIVE amounts of room in the AE71 i have.... and thats with a 100kW 4age.

I tried to leave the alternator on the bottom position, but when i put the engine in it hit the sway bar. Maybe with an aftermarket sway bar it may clear it? Don't know. Thats why I would like to know how other people have mounted it? Sad
