Idea
Just had an idea that there may be some other shift workers out there who are sick of missing out on the cruises each weekend and would possibly like to go for a cruise on a Weekday or Weeknight....

I'm talking about short notice/spontaneous sort of things with probably not huge numbers but something to keep us occupied.

I don't really mind where we go and am probably not the best person to organize it but thought it might be a good idea.

Any others who would be interested or have any thoughts on the matter please post below.

Cool... This is exactly I'm talking about... People who do shift work (others are welcome too of course) on short notice getting in their cars and just going for a cruise somewhere.... hang out... talk about Toyotas and have a bit of fun.

Nothing huge. I think if we could get around 5 cars together it would be enough to justify one.

Of course if someone would like to plan a big cruise for a week day/night cruise I would definetly be interested!

i like the weeknight cruise ideas!! i work fulltime during the week and i normally work on sundays too.... and most cruises are organised for SUNDAYS... i would like to see a bit more variety in the times that cruises are done.

yeah just a couple of guys is cool with me too... im in castle hill, and i dont mind the odd drive up to central coast, northern beaches (in summer) or down the coast for a bit of fun. But please..... no maccanats OK!?!?

but ill probably be the only old celica in this bunch tho

Remedy, take a look at www.wakefieldpark.com.au
they detail all your questions.
When i last went. Wink
It was roughly $30 for a wakefield liscence (1yr)
and ~$70 for a days worth of racing and fun. Rolling
Just turn up on any open practice/no speed limit day.
Which is pretty much weekly. Nod
Most are weekdays and not weekends. So be prepared to reuqest those annual leave/rostered days off. Razz

the drive down to canberra is 2 lane the WHOLE way from liverpool, 110kph... and pretty straight

would be good for a relaxing cruise, the raods are nice and the views are ok.... can do some silly stops at the big merino etc, then onto fyshwick for "things" Very Happy

i think it would be a nice all day event.

Trip to Canberra could be good. Pick up some more lube.

Theres a great restaurant in Qeenbeyan. I challenge you to finnish the "Mixed Grill". I think its called the Central Cafe. Great foood, huge portions, good price!
