I got new leads from autopro. I think they were around $160.

I think Neil Grifiths also sells them.

Great to hear its running!

Genuine Toyota, $400ish

Top Gun, $190ish from memory

Mangecor (I'm getting these) $310 I *think*

Are you sure its not maybe an injector? Although leads is prolly more likely, prolly a coil lead

i dont know maybe one injector could be blocked

ill try some other 2nd hand leads see if prob goes away

then i might get magnecor ones

are u getting same thickness magnecor ones
as in 5mm i think they are

it revs ok just has small miss at idle
might even be crossfiring
i need time to look at it as i got alot on this week

I have a brand new set of Magnecore leads in the boot of my car, haven't got around to fitting them yet.

The diameter is slightly larger than the standard ones which means they probably won't fit the lead spacers.

You're welcome to borrow them if you're prepared to fit and remove them or replace them. I won't get a chance to drop into SSS this week, but you can drop in and pick them up if you're near Smithfield or my place.

Call me.

Darren.

thanks darren
i was at sss and i tried some leads of a lexus motor
they were dated 1997

thing ran like i dream

my leads were 1990 so i gather they were too old

but runs ok with the lexus leads
ill see how i go
i might order ones from magnecor

theyre a bastad to change so nto something i want to do all the time

i have spent over 500 on just tune up stuff

i would hate to have a lexus and put it in for a major service for belts leads plugs etc

would cost over 2000

The guy at Magnecor Perth says that they come with all new clips to fit into the original slots.

I'm not 100% sure on what he meant, but I do plan to talk to him once the car is driveable

Will post when I know
