GZE internals int age

Guys,
I did a search and came up blank for me..
I would like to know if the 4AGZE internals (crank, rods, pistons) would all slot into a 4AGE. Or even just the rods and pistons..
Thanks
Denis

I understand they do, but you would end up with a lower compression ratio which in a NA engine isn't favourable.

lower compression is what i am after as i would turbo charge it.. . just saves me having to change the engine numbers etc if it all fites...

depends on the 4AGE.
if its an early type 3 rib with the 40mm setup, no it won't if its the later type with the 7 ribs and 42mm setup, then you can throw the rods and pistons in.

if you use the gze crank you can put it all in a early 3 rib 4age.
as Grega said though, measure the big ends on your crank, if you lucky and got the 42mm already you dont need to swap cranks.

Bolting a Turbo kit straight onto a NA engine, Ill leave that to the Swift guys to do.. Ill do this right or not at all. No point just doing it, destroy a perfectly good engine and then spending MORE money.. May aswell get teh internals that are strong enough, compression correct and everything else that goes with turbo charging.
Do it right or dont do it at all. Thats what i think.

With all the bodgy stuff that goes on nowadays, why not just buy a GZE, and swap the engine numbers? Much easier than swapping all the innards...

just replace the engine and get the engine number changed on your rego.
i think they will notice the "hairdrier hanging off the side" before they notice a different engine number.
much cheaper, much easier.
arent the NA smallports mechanically identical to the GZEs (except pistons and SC12) anyway?
mrshin, beat me to it.
