i'd suggest lining the inside of the dash cluster with foil.
increasing the bulb wattage will increase heat, and thats not exactly a good thing...
if the foil does not work enough, then maybe a little higher wattage, or possible an extra bulb (or LED's?)

or just replace all the dash globes with new ones of same size.. the bulbs might just be getting dim....

The old celicas were bad when they were new. You could try replacing the bulbs and also cleaning the copper contacts on the back of the instruments where the bulbs mount. Other than that, look into modifying them in some way.
Some people have used LED in place of the bulbs with good results. I have made new gauge faces from opaque plastic so that they appear back-lit. This is a really good solution but takes some time to get right. I will try and post a pic for you soon.

Well thats a little different then.
LED's won't work too well off the dimmer. You should really run them through a regulated power supply if you want tham to dim.
If you don't want to do it that way, leave the dimmer on full (can't dim them) and keep adding LED's until it is bright enough.
You may find that painting the inside of the gauge cans white instead of tourquoise may help.

i'm a n00b about car electronics...
so how can i change my 2003 camry orange dash lights?
maybe wire a few other light colours to the wires..and make a switch for green, blue, or red?? a different colour for each night...ahhh...
is that possible?
which dashbaord warranty would be void if i did it?
