Dude, you posted a reply just as i was typing, anyway no i did not use tint spray, just a can of matt black and clear spray, my front parkers are factory tinted so it all works pretty well, but im thinking of respraying the tail lights, im surprised i didn't get a defective over my lights AND that i got my road worthy without changing them. But then again it was a pretty dodgy road worthy joint.

Technically it's an ST161, but it won't matter when you put the 3rd gen 3SGTE in
Personally pod filters seem too much of a hassle, an exy panel filter flows just as well (sometimes a smidgeon better, sometimes a smidgeon worse, but on an 3S-GE/FE it makes no difference) and panel filters never get defected I guess alot of people 'love the sound of a pod' but that's just because you no longer use the intake resonator, simply taking off the resonator and using a panel filter has almost as nice a sound, has as good performance, and won't attract defects. Just a tip I guess!
Nice choice of rims there! The body looks in v. good nick from that first shot there.
Why did the SAAS steering wheel get you a defect? Too small or something?

FWDboy, i only had a pod because it was given to me, so i thought why not, you couldnt hear it once i got my exhaust but im guessing it would have added to the exhaust getting a defect, except when i changed back to the air box i was hoping it would quiet down the exhaust. Nop, so now the original muffler is back on, C#nt.
When i get the 3s-gte i will probably get a panel filter or built a box around the pod with cold air intake thats still in my engine bay doing nothing. I'll probably build a case for the plumb-back BOV as well when i get it 'cos cops can't touch anything in you engine when they do an inspection that includes opening air boxs and such.
Yeah the rims suit it down to the bone, they'd look clearer in another photo. picked em up for only $350 with two tyres, which i imediately wore out.
The steering wheel got a defective cos it had no padded centre.
Question: Why's it an st161? Cos it's got the 3s-fe

You can tell it's an ST161 by the drum brakes on the rear, I can't quite make it out in the picture, but it looks like drums. I don't know if it's a jap import or not. I know that jap import celica SXs have Celica GT instead of SX. But as for an ST? No idea. Yours doesn't have anything on there

Unfortunately they are drums, but i will fix that. It used to say ST but i got rid of it. Though on the engine and VIN plates it says it was only approved in Oz but not built, don't quote me yet but it says something like that, ill check another day.

I'm pretty sure I've seen in parts catalogues the Celica ST (GT in japan) referred to as ST161, and the Celica SX (GT-S in japan) referred to as ST162.
I guess I'm open to suggestion though
It's just the same as people saying ST182 (the 3S-GE japan only model) when they mean ST184 (5S-FE international model) etc?
