just wondering if any1 had done or heard if a throttle body alteration on a small/bigport 4age???

Toyota obviously thought their throttle body system could be improved as per the 20valve 4age.

any comments?

Quads are your best bet, naturally, otherwise you can try an adapt a bigger throttle off of another engine...

the reason I ask is because I have a FWD manafold I am converting to RWD and I have a CA18 throttle body that I will most likely use. I just wanted to know if its bigger. Someone with a ruler or vernia please?

I just wonder if theres a point to a throttle-body upgrade, because if it was benaficial I would think we would hear about it more, perhaps its just not a restriction. For me with a garrett snail it may be a very different story.

I know my induction pipe needed to be atleast 68mm, so id say 65mm for the inside to inside of the throttle body.
4age bigport. Im not sure of small port versions.
