3TGTE - 360HP - stock!!!

Guyz, funniest story, just went to have a look at a TA22 celica with a 3TGTE that my mate wants to buy, and i didn't let on that i knew much about them at first, and he tried to tell me among other things that:
* 3TGTE's have 360hp stock (at the flywheel) and with a bit of work, air filter/exhaust/dump pipe, they can easily get 400hp...
* He has had the fuel pump put inside the fuel tank and apparently the 'pusher pump' which is out side the tank is'nt pushing any fuel thru to the engine... I am not too sure about how this works, i always thought u had a lift pump to put fuel in the surge tank then ur high pressure one after that, so i'm not sure if his is set up the oppostie way or if his set-up is just different...(not too sure on that one)
* a W55 is so rare they sell for $2500 or more...
I told him after that, that i had just recently bought one for $600, he went on to say that when u do car mods urself it's dodgy and less than 5 minutes later i asked who did all the work on his car, 'yeh did most of it myself' 
He sounded like he didn't know too much about them, he is selling for 3 and i can't understand how he could if he seriously believes his gearbox is worth that much.... If his 3TGTE has that much power i wanna know why mine is so different?!?!

one thing - you can get away with one pump if it is mounted "in-tank" ..

i'd tell your friend not to buy it somehow.
