got the may issue of hot 4s 2 day and it had my dream car in it
in the whats new bit. its a lotus exige its in production it look a bit like the elise. BUT HERE IS THE THING guess what its powered by? the 1.8l,four cylinder, 16 valve,TOYOTA VVTL-I engine with the six speed box. the exige is claimed 2 put out 140kw and get 2 100km/h in under 5 sec. i loved this because this is 2 keep the cost down as the elise is price at 99,000 with out air con (3500 extra) but because if u have the air con on and u put your foot down the air con cuts out so u all ways have the power i wonder if the exige will b the same? eney way i dont know how much it will b but i will b getting in 2 my suite and going 2 visit rick dermealean. so how do u like them apples?

the 2ZZ was used in the US models becuase the old K motor was never emission tested for US compliance, whereas the 2ZZ already was by toyota.
so does this mean the rest of the world gets the 2ZZ? or just the US.
apparently the US toyota 2ZZ ECU's and lotus ECU's are not interchangable, and there is not much info around as to the other changes... probably better exhaust and some minor intake mods... dount they would have upped the cams by much.
the proton gti IS 'tuned by lotus' but only because proton OWN lotus . it does handle nicely (i went to a test drive day at eastern creek ), but lacks a bit of grunt but anyway...
so.. who's gonna make a RWD bellhousing for one of these suckers
