Just out of curiosity, has anyone actually attempted to install a subaru EJ20T into an AE86? Is it physically possible?

Anything is possible.... whether it's a good idea or not is another matter!
For starters, where are you going to get a RWD gearbox?

Me and a friend had an idea for triple turbo's on his triple-carb 202. Then next was going to be a quad-turbo jag V12. It wouldn't be that good but can you imagine the badge on the back of the car?? Quad-turbo V12...Kinda has a ring to it...

Didn't think about a gearbox! I guess with the right amount of money you should be able to find something that fits or fabricated to fit. Like a custom adapter kit. what gearbox did they use in the mazda 20b in the AE86?
It was just a thought!

a nice hewland gearbox would suit just so long as you have the cash to back it up (starting at $20k)
