3SGTE Forged Pistons

I've just pulled a set of Ross Forged Pistons out of a 3SGTE thats had a recent rebuild, and am thinking of selling them! The pistons are to suit the 20" overbore, ie, a 86.5mm bore(hence my main reason for selling them - I want to bore my project engine more, though it will mean spending money on sleeves), and come with all rings, gudgeon pins, and split rings. There is a small amount of pocking on the piston that came from number three cylinder, but if you didn't plan to run stupid boost, I'd say they will be fine - you plan of action in this matter is many and varied! Brand new, these pistons will set you back around $1000 in your hand, I'm looking for offers of around half that price, if you're interested?
Info on these particular pistons (part number: 99814) can be found here:

Yep, i'm surprised they haven't aroused more "interest". Yep they don't include the rods, but if you asking asking for Mr Dale, he has already got a set of rods from me?!?

I'd bid but the pocking things put me off a little. Define "insane amounts of boost" ?

I said stupid boost, which for the street I's say would be over 15psi, as for insane, WRC cars run 45psi, but then their engines also only do two or three rallies total! If you planned to use them in a mild build and use engine, I would be tempted to use it, however replacing it would be the preferred option.

What generation 3sgte are these out of and what comp ratio do they run? Is it different piston profiles that are responsible for different comp ratios in the 3sgte's or is it the head design (or rod length?). My 3sgte runs 9.0:1 standard.....
thanks.

hmm, doesn't look like the pocking is so bad
looks like a bit of spark plug insulator has been bouncing around perhaps...
a bit of smoothing, and get them HPC ceramic coated, and they'd prolly be fine...

Why would anyone want standard size aftermarket pistons in a ~14 year old Gen2 3SGTE? Unless you have a brand new Toyota shortblock?
If you were doing the job properly, you'd rebore the block to 86.5mm anyway. Sticking virtually brand new forged pistons in a 14 year old standard bore would be stupid.
So these pistons are ideal for you Buy away as you promised

I was thinking about using a combination of "Vulcan Mind Meld" and Zombie like inducing symptoms of Datura Plant ingestion to make a guy from Australia Post deliver them to your door?!
And yes, anyone rebuilding a motor without attention to bore squarness needs these thrown at his head!
