Ive just hooked up a electric fuel pump to my 18rc and have not hooked up the retun line....what sort of fuel economy will i get...Should i get another mechanical pump so a return can be used or will i be alright without using it...
NOTE i only hooked up the elec fuel pump as the machanical one started leaking and i had to go out urgently

the carbi will leak fuel at idle or cruise - unless the pump has some kind of over-pressure protection (e.g. when line pressure hits Xpsi, don;t pump so hard or keep 1-way valve open) - and this is unlikely.
fuel economy might be very ordinary - possibly frightening if the floats/needle-valve in the carbi can't hold back the higher pressure.
i'd remove a pump from one of your spare engines rather than use an electric pumpe with no return. otherwise you really need a carbi that has provision for a return line.

it totally depends on the electric pump, and what pressure the carby wants.. my pump is internally regulated to (or can only produce)3psi, which is perfect for my weber, so i don't need a return line.
if your pump is not regulated, and produces too high a pressure, then you may have probs.

is it a high pressure efi pump? or a low pressure one?
if it is a high pressure one you will need to get a carbi fuel pressure regulator onto it you mount it before the carb
if it is a low pressure pump then it will be fine
i have got a high pressure pump with a fuell reg on it.. works fine with my carbies... i know a few other ppl that has done the same thing and no problems
