Sorry Andrew, bit off the topic, but how often do you get 1jz's in your shop?

How much for the front cut? I want to replace my engine soonish and id kinda prefer if it was already in shepp without having to cart it there myself.

By the way i found out the other day that you were like best man at my aunties wedding or something a long time ago!

With fuel cut defender, and fuel press reg... u can run 17-18 psi easy for some runs down the drag stripe. Might be an idea to get it dyno'd at see how much difference the jump from 14-18 makes. If your intake and intercooler are standard, it will prob not make any difference because the heat increase will cancell out the hp.

As for people who say a 1J stock turbo can't do more than 14 psi Wink .. show me the broken bits! Razz

the only national race car that had a 1j in it now has a 13b turbo, was running from 22psi to 29psi of boost with a standard bottom end. this lasted for a full season like this{grabbed a piston.} until they bolted another import bottom end in it overnight at a race meeting. anything under 20psi would be fine. as long as its kept cool and has plenty of oil. long term keep it at 18 psi and it will be fine. they got about 650hp out of it with 26 psi. this was with two t3 and a motec etc.
make sure it uses a big oil cooler.
