Guys
I've seen it done heaps but still don't know how hard it is to do! Can anybody provide the exact info on all the modification needed to put this engine in the 22? Is it hard, expensive????? Any info or links to other threads (couldn't find one with exact info) would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Lee

In it's simplist install, utilising the standard TA22 gearbox, yes, you will still have problems with the LH engine mount. You can either choose to move the cross member mount the small amount it needs to clear the rubber mount, or modify the rubber mount - I once used a modified Datsun 200B engine mount without moving the crossmember mount, to good but not perfect effect.

Cant you just use a standard 3T mount and just block the oil return and make another one on the sump?

Check out my site, it has all you need to know about fitting a 3T GTE in a TA22.
http://users.chariot.net.au/~stmezz/celica.htm
Check under my car and "Technical info", I have also put the full 3T GTE wiring diagrams there as well.
Cool1,
3T GTE mounts are thicker than the stock 2T mounts, so they cant be used without a small mod to the brackets.
I modified both side to allow the use of the stronger 3T GTE mounts.
But no doubt using 2T ones is ok as well.
