Hilux axle plate things Sun, 25 April 2004 08:15 Go to next message
On the end of my Hilux axles behind the hub face, there are some metal plates that are held on by the studs. Between the plate and the hub face there is also a paper gasket.
Anyone know what these plates are for?

Even if you do spend time on dirt roads just build axle/diff guards out of sheet steel. Much better protection.
