This is for the computer guys. If i have a web site, how do i get it into the search engines.

Hey Luke, each search engine should have a link that says "Submit" or something similar. You basically follow that link and fill out the form.
Some search engines are not free either, so watch out.

i'm hearing u nark but i have tried yahoo and can't work it. Toymods comes up on search engines really well!!  hmm When u hit submit site, it comes up with this same bullshit.

Depending on what server you are hosting your web page on, you can add "tags"? to your html and various search engines automatically pick these up and add them to the search engine list!
Hope that makes sense! I cant remember what the "tags" are called!

Hey Luke, I think Yahoo is one of the ones where you have to pay...
I used to know a lot of sites that are made for the purpose of submitting your site to search engines, but I can't remember them any more. 
Cool1, you're thinking about the meta tags. The ToyMods tags that I use are:
<meta NAME="Description" CONTENT="ToyMods is a Toyota modifiers car club in Sydney Australia with members made up of a variety of turbocharged and supercharged car owners">
<meta NAME="Keywords" CONTENT="Toyota,car,club,mod,Sydney,Australia ,turbo,supercharge,power,cars,burn out,cam,piston,filter,Japanese,import">

Make sure you get other people to link to your site. A lot of sites like Google have some sort of spider like program which just goes surfing the net, following the links...that is how a lot of the Toymods forum pages end up there.
