g'day everyone, please dont tell me to do a search because i already have...
i have located a 4age ae86 for a good price because the shell is rusted beyond roadwoarthyness... so i am looking at buying it in a few weeks, as i am planning a cheap old skooler with a half decent engine and a locker to enter next years drift nats- my mates entered this year in there silvias and it would be mad to join em, and i love drift, newayz back on topic... i have basic mechanical skills and knowledge(not much tho), and i was wondering if anyone knows how hard this conversion is, as i am planning to do it with the aid of some mates(one of which has an engine crane and access to a hoist). so can people please post helpful info/links...
thank you in advance
- Ryan.

to be honest, it is not a particularly hard conversion, btu it HAS been done many times, and you probably should search more to find info on it..
putting an engine into any car that was not designed for it requires the same basic things.
engine mounts, gearbox mounts, fuel, spark, tailshaft mods. and, BRAKES.
drift nats? what a waste of a KE20
a helpful link might be the article abotu putting a 20V into a KE20.. you should be able to find that.
oh, and talk to an engineer.

Funny you should ask, my mate has a candy pink with blue pearl KE20 with a 4AGE in it and it goes quite well. Even with the polished FR17 Simmons it goes stops and handles a lot better than i would have expected, especially with those sized wheels on the poor little thing! Anyway he's really keen to do a 4AGZE come GTE in it and will be removing the motor to sell as well as the gze supercharger if anyones interested. Depending where you are and how far you're willing to travel, he would be quite willing to allow you to come take a squeeze as the whole things going ahead to see what you need to do.
