MRNOVA, I almost bought that car at the time however delivery costs prohibited it, especially when the suspension was still being 'sorted' out on that car.
I then ended up in Parramatta for a 2 month work stint and took it as an excuse to acquire a KE20 / 25 whilst there.
Overall, I reckon yours is good value as you don't have to worry about respraying it. I didn't pay much for this one but once you factor in a new respray it'd be the same if I had bought this one and brought it back to Brizzy.
I guess my only bonus is the colour + alloy wheels. Nice car though - it's what made me decide to go for the KE20 rather than a Datto ... much to my mechanic's disgust.

That's a very sexy car there. I was trying to get around to have a look at it. Colour = good, body shape = to die for .
KE20's rock the world.

Thanks for the comments ppl. The shots are taken of the better side - there are still some unpainted spots on the other side and some rust spots to be attended to beneath the rear quarter window sill ...
Jayman, your KE25 is awesome - don't part with it for anything below $5k. The paintwork looks awesome in the pics! Good luck with the sale.
Btw, the car is a later 1974 model, so this is perhaps the last year I can take out a normal insurance policy with the major companies. They won't touch anything older than 30 years old now.
Nick, I sold the KE10 to someone else on these forums much to my loss and that person's gain however I would have lost even more if I had brought 2 cars back to Queensland. The 13B is a niggling thought but doing the brake / gearbox / suspension upgrade would blow costs out. I just need a reliable getaround for when my Sprinter is in the workshops or when I have to park in carparks whilst doing the grocery run.
I will be doing the 114.3 PCD stud pattern upgrade over this long weekend in Qld hopefully and I will be placing the 14x6 rims from my Sprinter on this when they are repaired eventually.

Man i love the colour!
Ive found 2 bubbles in the paint under the rear bumper.
They are way to small to notice, but even still need to be fixed up!
Im thinking of trying to get a 2t-gteu for her!
Only cause i want something different from a 4age!
And hey, i think the engines look better for a older car!

Unfortunately, I'm in the same position as MRNOVA ... we've invested some monies into the car (transport wise at least) so if we were to part for it, we probably won't get back all of our money hence why I probably won't be parting with the car but will at least see her registered and use her for a year at least ...
Scubba, you could probably pick up a KE20 in good nick for around $400-$700 - just need to keep an eye out for them as they often appear in the trading post.
Ah yes, pics can be deceiving - the ones above are only of the good side of the car. There has been some rust work done and some areas yet to be resprayed.
Here's the latest pic of where it has been residing - in the Ultratune garage over the last month. You can see what I mean by a good side and a bad side ...

Hopefully it should be registered soon ...
I've just swapped the front hubs for KE35 ones and will be swapping the rear axles soon so I can fit my other set of gold mesh Sprinter alloys on the car.
Unfortunately all my $$$ is going back into my AE86 project for the next stage upgrade ...
