removing wiper arms from TA22 and hood lining Tue, 27 April 2004 06:03 Go to next message
I have 2 TA22's to choose from to build up...
one is straight as, no rust etc, which is the one4 I am more than likely to fix up, one of the wipers is broken. the wiper arms that come through the bit between the vents and windscreen don't work, is it possible to replace these with the ones out of the other car and how easy is it to do ? how do you remove them and is there any special tools I need?

and is there any tricks or tips to taking the hood lining out of one car and putting into another ?!

Brendon

brendon,

getting to the wipers isn't that hard - its just a case of undoing the motor and there is a nut which holds a controlling rod which drives the wiper arms.

undo the bolts holding the wiper arms in and push em back then drag the whole lot thru

the headlining, well, i've got both my screens out at the moment, and, the headlining kinda wraps under the screens. i don't know how easy this would be to do if the screens were still in i can't imagine it would be much fun. and not sure if when you put the hoodlining back in if it would stay up around the screens.

windscreens have to come out to take out the headlining. Unless you want to get out a knife and go nuts.
