Help Needed No. 2 Fuel Pipe Flared Ends

Stupid question 2:
How do you create the 'bulge' that sits 5mm down from each end of the standard Toyota fuel and return pipes ? I have just fitted an 8mm pipe to my RA23 and am keen to get these bulges in place.
Thanks,
Mitch.

Does a flaring tool only flare the end of the pipe, so you can sleeve another pipe inside it ?
I want to get that bulge 5mm down from the end of the pipe.
I'm really not keen to pull the lines out now that they are fitted, either way its a prick of a job.
Thanks for your ideas mate.
Cheers,
Mitch.

With a proper double flaring tool you can bulge the pipe at the end (a single flare), not 5mm down the tube. It is not as neat as the Toyota set up, but it works well.

To do that you need a Crox tool.
I have a 1/2" one but not 8mm.

You dont neccasary need to flare you fuel lines ends. You can buy fittings the have a clamp on and olive setup like a boost guage vac line. They have been tested to hold 250psi also. They are available through www.vpw.com.au
