I have made one, although it doesnt go all the way back, i just went back till the plastic sides start to rise.

I will be soon looking into making a piece long enough to go to the back but it wont rise like the plastic does. Im not sure how ill do it but you'll be the first to know.

On the side were the oe parcel shelf sits, towards to rear it dips up and then comes flat again, i havent worked it out yet so that it looks decent.

Heres mine, http://www.users.on.net/nperin/Pictures/Car/Speake rs001.jpg although the picture isnt the best angle. Basically its two pieces carpeted and hinged and the front half lifts when you open the boot.

callifo...how did u support your parcel shelf? i can't fully fit my mdf wood and there's like 5-9 cm short from the sides...i thought the mdf wood i bought was long enough..but didnt realise that the car is wider...lucky i bought the thin one...

can u take a pic of the sides on how u support the wood unto your car?

what thickness should i get my mdf wood? 15mm??

Better pics

http://www.users.on.net/nperin/Pictures/Car/Shelf0 01.jpg
http://www.users.on.net/nperin/Pictures/Car/Shelf0 05.jpg

Corner brackets holding it to the shelves either side

http://www.users.on.net/nperin/Pictures/Car/Shelf0 02.jpg

Clips to hold the folding part down so it doesnt rattle during driving

http://www.users.on.net/nperin/Pictures/Car/Shelf0 03.jpg

Aluminium supports to strengthen it (each speakers magnet is just over 500g, let alone the rest of it)

http://www.users.on.net/nperin/Pictures/Car/Shelf0 04.jpg

And the board is approx 10mm thick.
