Toyota has a couple of 6-speeds, but good luck getting it to fit behind a 7m. Buy a 2jz-gte and 6-speed (V160) in a jza80 front cut and ditch the 7m and auto.

Or get the R154 5-speed with clutch, pressure plate, flywheel etc and fit it. It'll only cost 2-3 grand Confused

Or sell the Soarer and buy a manual Supra. Very Happy

ASAIK there was never a 6-speed ma70 supra. (Unless you count Stenno's car with a 2jz and 6-speed conversion!!)

You could in theory put a V160 6-speed behind a 7M, but you'd need some sort of adapter plate to make it fit (the V160 doesn't have a separate bellhousing). The better option is to do a JZ conversion (either 1JZ or 2JZ) and the V160 will bolt right up. Smile

EDIT: expect to pay upwards of $3-4k just for the V160, and then you'll need to modify it to fit (shifter is in the wrong spot), then you'll need a custom tailshaft, custom transmission crossmember, and the list goes on. By contrast an R154 can be had for $2-2.5k and will bolt right up with factory parts.
