URGENT: info/dimensions of 1jz flywheel/flexplate!
Fri, 30 April 2004 05:52
Hello. Sorting out manual swap for my jzz30. Does anybody have a 1jz flywheel (or flexplate) that they take measurements off for me? I can get these off my flexplate that's in the car but I need to buy myself some time and get my flywheel made up in the next few days. I need:
Overall dia of ringgear
Inside dia of ringgear
Distance (along crank axis) from front of teeth to end of crank
And if anybody could tell me if a 1uz RINGGEAR is the same as 1jz that would be great! If you could help me out with any of this I would be STOKED!

Primus rule!
I'm using a W box with a custom adaptor plate I've got, so the measurements are all out of whack. I posted the above thread because I was gonna get one made up.
BUT!... If you give me the measurements off your one it may turn out that it'll work. I'll need to drill some holes to match my pressure plate but if the thickness is about right then I will endeavour to buy yours!
SO!... If you could hit me with these I would be mighty thankful:
- longitudinal distance from where crank meets fly to bearing surface for clutch
- overall diameter of bearing surface
- and as many pics of it as possible

will do
cheers

PS - 7M/5M ring gears are interchangable for use on the jz motors
EDIT - you can aslo grind the ring gear welds off the auto flexplate, then use it pressed onto the new manual flywheel

Yeah I was gonna butcher the flexplate when I get the auto off and use that on a custom fly. But...
I just realised your fly is to suit w58/236mm style pressure plate. I assumed it was r154 type. Mint. Looks 99% likely I'll take it. Just need to confirm that my adaptor plate is the right thickness and we're away.
