nice,

got off the line well!

what type and size tyres were you running...

we must have similar power.... mph is almost exactly the same

what were your times on your other runs?

I am using 26x8x15 tyres and my other runs were

Re: WSID 8/5 Sun, 09 May 2004 20:24 Go to previous messageGo to next message
that is really consistant, well done...

that night i was there was my first time on a 1/4....
it got faster every run, i wish i had another couple runs to get to it's limit and find some consistancy...
my runs were
13.8
13.1
13.1
12.7
12.5

i am thinking bout trying some taller tyres like those you were using, mine were only 22inch high and i was almost on redline in 4th across the line, how bout you?

what kind of revs you pulling of the line?

my car makes bout 172 kw. i know this sounds low for a single, but i still have the factory management which is holding me back. The guy who dynoed the car reckons the was at least 20 kw in the top end if i could pull the fuel out (a/f ratios were in the 10's) at the same boost.

Stew

Sensational Ben, thats a bit quicker than I thought from a pretty much standard 1G. You must be stoked with that time.

Stew, awesome result also.

So when are we gonna see these two celicas head to head. I'll be there with pompoms on for the occasion.

My car was sitting on 6000rpm on the line but I have 4.359 final drive so the 26 high tyres are perfect for me I just need more POWER Evil or Very Mad
Your single turbo makes more power than my twins with ems.

Thanks mate, We just have to get stew down here Im keen anytime

Yellorolla
I am running taller tyres and a tacho so I don't have to wait for the rev limiter to change gear's.

Thats a great photo of matts car (hypo77) its an awesome bit of gear...

as for my pic..... i'll let you decide.... it was my first run though so there was some farting going on...

Ben: did you have to run front runners or was anything said to you? the andra guy i spoke to said that if i ran faster than 12.5 i would have to have cross ply tyres on the front....

those are some massive guards on the back of your car!!!!

Stew

Re: WSID 8/5 Fri, 14 May 2004 12:01 Go to previous messageGo to next message
nah,

the car has just had a turbo upgrade, now has a ta45/51, new fuel pumps, twin plate clutch, new manifold, injectors etc and still hasnt been tuned Sad

pob do a little tuning on the street mid week and then take it out on sat and do a bit more on low boost at WSID.

not expecting any great times just more to get it there, to start sorting it.
