thanx Grega, the inside diameter of the pipe to the sump is
1 1/4 inch .
the turbo is level with the camcovers,
so it should be right
could it be getting too much oil? there's no pump, just a pipe from the block in to the top of the turbo.
I took the oil drain hose off the turbo while the car was running and there was a thin constant flow of oil.. looked about 1mm thick.

Sump pressurisation, not allowing the oil to drain back. To test, crack the oil dipstick and take it for a drive, if it doesn't do it, that's the problem.

cool thanx again ..
hopefully , ,that Sump pressurisation thing is it.. how could I fix that if it is?? just sum sort of breather!
take the dipstick completely out or just crack it?

Just crack it and wire it to something close, so it isn't pushed out.
