A bit of everything man, but as I live close to work and don't drive much during the week, I'm focussing more on getting it set up for drift and circuit wrk. I guess I can say with confidence though that it will end up being used primarily for some drift action.

hot.
fucking hot man
your 20v and ben's (TAKUMI) 20v is making me change my mind about getting the hybrid 16v now
arrrgh
id still want a K series ae101 4age tho
the early 1995 one (up until may of that year) with the single throttle linkage the one that TRD used for their silvertop race engines
ben has one the bastard...
they only come in the AE101 levin wagon
similar to these, which are AE101G's but funnily enough they come with Blacktop 4ag's instead of silvertop 4ag's
weird huh?

Mate looks very nice!
Are you getting rid of the dizzy and using a crank angle sensor?
Also, can I ask what GAB shocks you used, are they a shorter stroke?
Cheers

Thanks guys!!!
Just got her dyno'd - 94.9kw @ teh wheels boys..... Then took her for a little hit down the driveway.... God damn that's one quick 1600!
Testament to Dale's tuning ability. You're an absolute champion mate!
I had a look at Ben's when I was picking up my extractors. Looks very very nice. There's a few little bits in his engine bay that I was planning to do on mine.
Garth - Sounds like you will need a bit of luck to score one of those engines mate..... But yeah, GO THE 20V!!! Sound absolutely awesome at 8,500 (especially in a dyno room! It was earplugs all round). I filmed a couple of power runs, but didn't get one of the graph actually going up. Derrrr.
TurboRA28 - Mate, the dizzy is loooong gone. Didn't even think about using it to be honest. I'm running Bosch coilpacks. Have a look here - http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v298/AE86slut/ enginesidecomplete.jpg
The GAB's are not short stroke. they are 9 way adjustable front and rear (I think... Or maybe 6 at the front), but I'm not sure exactly which ones they are. I'll have a look tomorrow. I've got some TRD short strokes sitting her anyways (sorry Garth )

yeah i figured as much
its allright coz the next day i orded a full set of these
Techno Pro Spirit HTS 102's . Re-sleeved and urethane bushng equipped racing shocks.
Quote: | As for front shock attenuation power stepless gradation integral expression, as for rear shock 45 gradual pitch integral expression dial attachment. Because of this, width of setting is wide, finely setup possible. (Adjustment of attenuation power is rod top.) Because the front shock almost is the same size as the AE92 short circuit of TRD, if now height pitch of errand has used AE92 short circuit, also it is possible to exchange to this shock. (Front case length 332mm) the rear shock to short stroke the muffler under the diff. and combination with the spring whose total length is short is OK by the fact that it converts.
In addition, standard we equip the urethane bush, the maximum pull out damper original potential.
Front maximum length 476mm/minimum length 350mm/stroke 126mm
Rear maximum length 455mm/minimum length 307.5mm/stroke 147.5mm

Paul, I'm gonna laugh so hard when you have to hand over that money. I was driving around last night and I couldn't get it up to operating temperature. It hardly went over 50 degrees! So it's gonna overheat huh? HAHAHAHA

Yeah, I just have to plump it up properly yet. Plus the thermo is wired straight to ignition atm, so as soon as I get a sensor/switch for that, we should be good.
After fanging around all night, I can report that Sydney roads are FUCKING SHIT!!! hahaha... My backs still hurting!!! Was getting axle tramp pretty bad too.

Yeah I know..... But I've been relegated to driving my gf's Astina which has had no shocks for the last 3 years (VERY cushy, but thumps through potholes like nothing else!) since selling the Skyline, so I'm a bit of a pansy right now. hehehe
NOt sure about the spring rates. I'll have to check with my mate who I got the car off.

Go into a corner with a decent amount of revs in second gear, depress the clutch mid-corner and then drop it..... Have 'a moment' and you'll soon figure it out by the way the car reacts if you lift off while heading towards something immovable... hahahaha

At the moment, I am going to get it painted white just to get it all one colour, but in the future I don't know. I need to get the flares on it and some wheels to fill them! I really like the look of the CBY Levin so that's a bit of inspiration there.

I did it myself. It's a stock Sprinter tank with an AE82 TC pump assembly with an extended bracket to drop the pickup to the bottom of the tank. Bolts straight in. Just gotta be careful not to let it go below 1/4 tank coz it surges when cornering hard
