Hey fellas, just wondering bout modding my car a bit.
in your opinion which would be the better upgrade?
cai - pod filter and black finish piping = $250
OR
Extractors - installed = $300 (off the shelf but piping is tuned)
could anyone give me specifics about what sort of improvments i would see from a cielo dohc 1.5l engine with these two combinations. what would be better in the bang for buck situation.
p.s i know it's not a toyota BUT i used to own one
thanx in advance.

Do both. Extractors first - tell us the results. Dyno or 1/4 mile before and after if you seriously want to quantify the result.

Extractors definantly -
if you have a clue about you you can make a cold air induction setup yourself for alot less than 250 dollars

If you want growl from the front end, get the CAI... I did this with the RAV4 almost a year ago and the sound was great, the response was heaps better than stock and everyone thought I'd done something with the exhaust.
With a 1½L Cielo, ANYTHING's gotta be better than stock.

thanx for the constructive replies dudes, really appreciate it.
if i was to do the cai myself, what would a good diameter be for the piping and what sort of metal would i use because it would be pretty easy for me to setup...
and would i have to setup any sensors or stuff like that? (if i could host pics i would put some engine bay pics up, but i cant upload here anymore for some reason?!
thanx in advance
