Exporting a cheap AE86 to England

Hey. Im finding out how much I could buy a cheap, maybe damaged or rough AE86, and ship it to England (where I am) for.
Any ideas of prices for buying the car in the first place?
Shipping costs?
I helped my dad import an MR2 turbo from Japan recently so its not entirely new to me. 86's are overpriced in Jap, so I thought id consider Aus.
Thanks in advance, oh and if i need to, I can get the engine out of an AW11 which is handy.

A cheap stocky would set you back about $2200, or a bit more.
Thats approx GBP800

ummm well everyone seems to be buying their ae86's from japan here lately so if they're overpriced i dunno what we are. and just making sure, you realise that the aussie spec ae86 is rather turd (4ac, crap rear end, all the goodies taken off basically)

yeah i know, but for fear of a major flaming i'll just keep my opinion of the price trends of ae86 to myself. tho how an aussie spec can sell for $5000 while tempest can't sell a turbo ra28 for 2500 just astounds me

Thanks for your help. I was told that the Aus spec was a bit down but I have a 4AGE that I can get hold of, and eventually I would put in a higher spec LSD.
I never really considered converting one from Germany. Are they easyer to find over there? And what would be involved to convert it to proper side drive?

The only 86's ive seen for sale in England are £5000+ which is way out of my price. Im after a £800 messed up one, I prefer to buy cheap and fix it so I know its prefect.
I never really thought about one from Germany or such, I suppose it makes sense if the convertion is ok. And shipping will be alot less. Hmmm alll depends on the price I can get one for.

5000pound is approx $12,000 AUD.. In saying that they are selling for that much in england. Means that its not only japan or Aus that have an inkering for sprinters. So the price is average around the world..
