trick is knowing what equivalent model or part you are after. having a dude at the parts service counter who knows his shit always helps.
if you ever get really stuck, ring penrith toyota, and ask for todd

penrith toyota are good. I've also had nothing but good service from castle hill toyota (these 2 being my favourites, because they also stock lots of import goodies)
dont suppose you happen to remember how much the w58 slave cylinder cost do you? I've just had to use my spare, so I want to know hwat I'll be up for if/when this one goes (as it has unknown kms on it)

You reckon they groan when you go in there! I go into toyota and ask for the most obscure parts for my RA23!
I once got them to ship a $2.50 piece of rubber from sydney for me! and whenever I go in there it takes about ten minutes before they can even tell me if it's avialable cause they have to look it up on micorfilm!
But to there credit they are always happy to do it and have never had any problems with them, so go to toyota if you can.
The parts aren't always as exspensive as you think and sometimes they even have discounts on old stock to try and clear it!

If you blow the top radiator hose which I did for the SA63 I looked for the ST141 for the top radiator hose, and only cost me $10.
But isn't most engine parts carried of to different models like the 2S-C motor are very similar in the ST141 and SA63? for the 5M-E motor, the MX73 and the MA61?
Cheers.
